By allowing the drive in question to perform more write caching to system memory, you can boost performance. The only danger is that data cached in system memory will be lost, in case, you don't have an uninterrupted power source.
- Right Click on My Computer
- Select Manage
- Click the Device Manager,
- open up Disk drives tree,
- right-click a drive, and
- select Properties.
- Go to the Policies tab and
- check “Enable Advanced Performance.” Click OK.
